Wesley Miller BC-HIS, ACA

Wesley Miller BC-HIS, ACA
Board Certified Hearing Instrument Specialist
Audioprosthologist
Owner

Wesley has been a practicing hearing aid specialist since 1987. In 1988 he earned hearing aid dispensing licenses in Texas and New Mexico. He moved to New Mexico from San Antonio, Texas in 1991 and opened the Roswell Sandia Hearing Aid office in its current location.

That same year he earned the important designation BC-HIS. This achievement represented his desire to excel beyond the normal requirements for operating a hearing instrument practice. The designation, BC-HIS (Board Certified in Hearing Instrument Sciences), is earned by completing and passing a highly specialized National Competency Exam which is based on practical knowledge of dispensing and decision-making capability. The designation requires re-certification every three years with proof of qualifying continuing education.

The following year, Wesley earned the coveted title Audioprosthologist from the American Conference of Audioprosthology. The ACA program is an upper division undergraduate course specifically designed for hearing instrument dispensers with emphasis on Speech Pathology and Audiology. It is the highest designation a hearing aid dispenser can obtain. Through this designation he is qualified to assess the type and magnitude of hearing impairment, analyze and select hearing aids with appropriate electroacoustic properties and manage the professional, technical and business aspects of the hearing aid field.

In the last two decades, Wesley has expanded the Sandia practice to include Eddy, Lea, Roosevelt and Curry counties in addition to the home area of Chavez County. Each community in Southeast New Mexico welcomes him as a specialized member of the hearing health community. He has helped thousands of citizens in Southeastern New Mexico with his caring dedication to the best and latest technology and highest quality service.

Wesley believes in the important task of giving back to the communities that have made him successful. He has served on various boards and committees over the years, offering his insight and judgment to causes important to Southeastern New Mexico and West Texas.

Kelli McDaniel-Miller

Kelli McDaniel-Miller
Chief Operating Officer

Kelli McDaniel-Miller heard her calling to serve early in life. She began her career studying to be a nurse but eventually moved into funeral service specializing in grief counseling. Her loving compassion was well suited to that line of work and is still obvious to all who meet her.

In 2006 she married Wesley (he is still amazed at this) and agreed to come on board and work at Sandia Hearing Centers.

Kelli's desire to help others continues at Sandia. She works daily to improve the professional hearing care and customer service the company provides to our patients. In addition to her management duties, Kelli has taken on the operational responsibilities working with vendors and suppliers. She also keeps the company financial records.

Kelli was blessed with four wonderful children who are now grown and enjoy careers in various fields. Each would tell you that the most important thing they learned from their mother is a strong duty to serve and love all mankind with whatever strengths God gave them.

If you ever want to see a beam of sunshine in a person's eyes, just ask Kelli about her granddaughter.

Kalen Pedigo

Kalen Pedigo
Managing Patient Care Coordinator
Insurance Specialist

From an early age, Kalen Pedigo knew that she was destined for a career in service to others. Watching her parents run a small business in Roswell, she observed the results of combining a strong love for family with the pride that comes from the highest sense of work ethic.

Retail was the natural place for her to begin her work life. It edified her with the skills necessary to solve customer's problems with a smile...and maintain it even when it wasn't returned.

After several years at a large national department store the time came for new challenges. She was quickly rewarded with the opportunity to incorporate what she had learned and apply it to the next level: healthcare. Under the tutelage of a well known local Optometrist, Kalen became an expert fitter of contact lenses and glasses for a busy practice in Roswell.

"Learning to use contact lenses can be very difficult for some people," Kalen says. "Helping them overcome the challenges associated with daily wear and knowing that I was a part of the beautiful outcome of better vision was one of the most rewarding experiences of my career."

Unfortunately the doctor moved and left Kalen in limbo. The day she answered the employment ad and walked into Sandia, she knew she had found her home. "I knew I belonged here," she says. "It's like we're all family."

Watching people walk into the office suffering from the difficulties that associated with hearing loss reminds her of her time in optometry...only better. "When people can't see well it usually doesn't effect anyone but them. When they can't hear well, it can bother everyone they come in contact with...mostly their loved ones."

Considering Kalen's work at Sandia, no-one who meets her can ever doubt that she has managed to accomplish what most working women struggle with. She is always a mother first. Working hard, maintaining high standards is about pride, not just getting a paycheck. It is her way of passing along to her son and daughter what her parents gave her.
